Day 56/Feb 25: Living root bridge

After a tiring 5 hr trek yesterday, none of us really had the courage to go on another day long trek the next day. We traveled to the start point of the bridges by a mini van and then the journey began to the root bridges. These root bridges are tucked away near a village called Nongriat in Cherrapunjee, Meghalaya. Most of the trek/walk was picturesque, met extremely humble local people and  3 travelers from Israel and US. There were some 1000(or more) odd steps that we climbed, while the downhill was fun, uphill was a challenge. Apart from a lot of things hounding in my head, I was aware of every bone in my body and also realized how unfit I was. It was an absolute realization of the body, mind & soul kinda experience for me.
